RATT Forced To Cut Monterrey Concert Short; Band Completes Set Without Singer PEARCY - June 29, 2008
According to an article (see below) published in today's (June 29) edition of the El Norte newspaper of Monterrey, Mexico, RATT was forced to cut short its Friday, June 27 concert in Monterrey after lead singer Stephen Pearcy appeared to be incapacitated and was unable to complete the show. At one point, according to the article, Pearcy lost his balance and fell into the crowd before being helped back to the stage by the venue's security personnel, only to fall backwards. He then got up and resumed singing as if nothing had happened. After performing for about 50 minutes, the band abruptly left the stage and reappeared a few minutes later, this time without Stephen. Rhythm guitarist John Corabi, who is best known for having replaced Vince Neil as the frontman for MÖTLEY CRÜE in the early 1990s, apologized to the crowd and blamed the mishap on "jet lag" before taking over on lead vocals for a few tracks, including a couple of solo numbers and the RATT songs "Body Talk" and "Round and Round".

RATT celebrated the "Year Of The Ratt" with a very special West Coast U.S. run of dates in April. In honor of their Southern California roots, the band embarked on a four-show mini-tour to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the "Ratt" EP.

RATT recently performed the entire EP along with other RATT faves live on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" to an overwhelming response. Host Bob Coburn expressed that he was "totally blown away" by RATT and that they "flat-out kicked ass" as they delivered one of the best shows in the 27 years of "Rockline".

RATT returned to stores with new DVD and CD releases on July 31, 2007: the first-ever DVD release from the band, "Ratt: Videos From The Cellar: The Atlantic Years", and the audio collection "Tell The World: The Very Best Of Ratt", which features the hard rockers at their studio and live performance peak and includes a previously unreleased track.

RATT 2008 is:

Stephen Pearcy - Vocals
Warren DeMartini - Lead Guitar
Bobby Blotzer - Drums
Robbie Crane - Bass
John Corabi - Guitar

Where'd he fly from? Overseas, .......maybe?

For those that bash Weiland, at least he hacks it out.

Of well, this could happen to anyone. Nice to have somone onstage who can step in on vocals. It's only rock and roll

but I didn't know Corabi was in the band now - I'd consider seeing em if HE was singing!

Hell, I'm hoping he replaces Paul Stanley...

is WAY too good for these guys - ESPECIALLY being just the guitarist. he should be fronting a band, the best thing crue ever did was with him!

Thanks for the word - Again, I'm not a RATT fan, so I would typically have skipped any RATT story anyway.

CORABI rocks. That self-titled Crue album is the best thing they ever did outside the original 45 and first LP.

COMMENT | The show must go on.

Corabi is a great singer/guitarist. Loved the Motley Crue 1994 S/T album. That was the darkest and heaviest CD they ever made. I still give it a spin every now and then.

was at the show. Pearcy was intoxicated since the beginning. He fell 6 or 7 times until he wasn´t able to rise. The band played about 10 songs and the crowd started to burn the place down; then corabi saved the day when he sang 4 or 5 songs unplugged, alone and he rocked the house out. Corabi is a class act. Pearcy is a fucking loser. Hey, by the way Stephen, i got the hat you lose man!. He he!

I mean really. It was just a matter of time before Pearcy fucked up yet another chance at a good thing.

That appears to be xanny's + alcohol or klonnies + alcohol but ya know what, they all = falling off the stage and/or collapsing in front of people when you're not supposed to!!
