After reading blabs for so long, you learn to pretty much ignore Bergmans opinion of anything, and find out for yourself. Scott, on the other hand, is pretty damn reliable, and a great writer.

Keith, you have no style, class or taste.
With all the words in the English dictionary you wrote "shitty".

You could have written the following "I can see where Diamond Head are going with this album however, in my honest opinion, it does not suit their playing and, thus, I have to give it a thumbs down from me". Constructive criticism is great. Just being downright rude is not.
Being down right nasty does neither you or Diamond Head any justice.
Also what the hell have Lars Ulrich and Dave Mustaine got to do with the new Dh record? You spend a whole paragraph writing about them to serve what purpose?
P.S. I guess this is why you review on sites like Blabbermouth and not for one of the decent rock mags like I do.

Where he gives a 4/5 the user rating is always way higher.
Where he gives a 7/8 the user review is always sooo much lower?

and no, i wasnt too impressed. so be it, the last album was good though , so they are a band only 1 album removed from having something to say. On top of that, all i need to do is throw on Lightning to the nations to make this feeble review a distant unimportant blurb from some dude who couldnt cut it as a real music journalist and is wasting away reviewing albums on the good old BBmouth .
aside from that, bergman couldnt find metal in a steel mill, and never take advice on good metal from anyone who licks henry rollins toe jam.

Keith can actually, ACTUALLY tell you what an album sounds like without referencing other bands or mentioning "killer riffing" or "pummeling drums". Scott, while a good reviewer with good opinions, isn't on Bergman's level.

this review = "It doesn't have to be like this — DEEP PURPLE and SAXON alone prove that you can be old and British and still rock without embarrassing yourself. I will give these guys a 10 simply because that review is so fucking cruel. He might as well have just kept it to two words - "shit sandwich" and I think everyone would have understood.
Seriously, fuck the reviewer. I think it's cool that veterans like Diamond Head still keep it going, especially when they don't stand to really profit from it. I have no idea if this album sucks or not, haven't bothered listening but damn, try and at least be respectful.

This reviewer was ready to rip into this band apart before he even heard the album, worthless review. This is a great album and has it's own sound, and much better than what Saxon would currently put out. This album is I would say, much better than it should have been. He should have given them some respect.

This is a superb album and very suprisingly is as good as anything that has come before it.
Caught them live the other week and was completely blown away. Expected just another ageing rock band, but got a complete monster. Do not write off Diamond Head as believe me, they are still something very special.

At any rate, there are some real gems from the NWOBHM era and England, Birmingham to be exact, is the birthplace of metal.
You would be doing yourself a favor to pick up the first few Holocaust albums, Fist, Chateaux, Satan/Pariah, Cloven Hoof, Witchfynde, etc.

After a few days that the Diamond Head review has been on the site, and after seeing the reaction by the "Blabbermouthers"...would it not be wise to get someone to do an unbiased review on the new Diamond Head album, or for Mr Bergman to apologise on the site for his lack of professionalism in his review?
I understand that the Blabbermouthers are a funny bunch, I have posted some funny comments on the site in the past, all in good fun. However, someone who reviews an album in this way, using such a limited use of English, is just unacceptable.
I write for many mainstream music magazines and my editor would have sacked me on the spot had I offered him such a review.
I hope you can have a hard think about this. It is not doing Mr Bergmans credibility as a music journalist any good.

It's just an opinion, which Keith is entitled to.
As for Keith's writing, there's never been a problem with his "limited use of English" and to suggest such a thing is ridiculous.
With all due respect, you have basically been running the DIAMOND HEAD "fanclub" on Blabbermouth for some time now, and if anyone is "biased" here, it would certainly be you. But for whatever it's worth, you're entitled to disagree with Keith or anyone else for that matter.

Hardly any reference to the album itself, let alone a fair appaisal. Might of well replaced album art with a photo of Brian Tatler with glasses and a funny beard doodled on in wax crayon. Yes, Blabbermouth is right in saying Keith is entitled to his opinion, but I don't give a flying fuck about his opinion on Brian, I wanted an intelligent review of the album, and this isn't one. Just to get an idea of what a good reviewer is like...this is what Scott said about the Diamond Head DVD.
Now that's a review - short, sharp and to the point. While not 100% praise, Scott does try and give you an idea on what the DVD is *actually* like.

P.S. You are entitled to your opinion that Diamond Head sucks and I can respect that. So here is my opinion on something: I think you are mentally unstable and apart from carrying a huge chip on your shoulder for a reason unknown, you are, in my humble opinion, just a dick.
