Non-Metal Albums For Metal-Heads
Most metal-heads eat, shit and breathe metal 24 hours a day. This is a great thing, but there's a faction of this group that refuses to even think about listening to anything non-metal, which isn't a great thing, because being that closed minded is going to cause you to miss out on a lot of music that you may actually love. With that in mind, I submit to you non-metal albums that metal heads would (and should) check out. The first one is...

Dax Riggs - "We Sing Of Only Blood Or Love"

If nothing else, this album is a good one for metal-heads to check out simply because Dax used to sing in Acid Bath (which was a fucking great 90's metal band, if you don't know them, stop reading this and go get a copy of "When The Kite String Pops," come back after you've digested it). This album however, is flat out, dirty rock and roll: bluesy acoustic moments combining with driving sludge rock to create one hell of a great record.

Metal-head selling points:
1. "We Sing Of Only Blood Or Love" is exactly what the songs are about: death, blood and (fucked up) love
2. Song titles such as "Demon Tied To A Chair In My Brian"
3. The voice of Acid Bath
4. The Sabbath meets CCR sludge of "Truth In The Dark"
5. Check out the sweet album cover

Enjoy!

Don't forget, most Anything By The B-52's!,
you know,
"Rock Lobster",Planet Claire", Love Shack",etc.

Being a Musician, I was "Shocked"(on How Professional) they were when I sort of "Rediscovered" them a few years back.

BOTH Musicianship-wise and Production & Engineering-wise,
most all B-52's album/CD's are Truly "Ear-Candy" and REALLY GOOD, if you never Heard this, you may like it!

Really Fat Analog Synths, Trippy Down-Tuned Surf Style Guitars,Tight Drumming/Drum Machines, Sweet Female Vocals from Kate Pierson & Cindy Wilson.

Especially B-52's "Whammy" from 1982,

The "Fattest" Analog Keyboard/Synth Bass Tones I Have EVER HEARD!

I'd say Nathaniel Merriweathers's "Lovage - Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By". It's sexy (and who don't like sexy), and it has vocals by Jennifer Charles and Mike Patton. And it WILL get you laid; at least most of the times.

I'd recommend Rise Against "The Sufferer and the Witness," or some classic Bob Dylan or something.
