YES THIS IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT NICKELBACK IF YOU DON'T CANCEL THEIR AUGUST 30 SHOW I'LL SUE THE BAND FOR $ 1,000,000!Jeremy Rosen responds:
Remember that bit in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery where Dr. Evil comes back from being frozen and tries to blackmail the world for a million dollars? Well, the joke there was that there'd been a lot of inflation since Dr. Evil had been frozen in the 60s. Y'know what's funnier, though? The fact that one million dollars wasn't worth that much more in 1997 when the film was released. Using the consumer price index, that money would be worth about $4.8 million in 1997 dollars. So, really, when he then demands way more than that to make it more realistic, it's much more beyond the pace of inflation for those thirty years. Really, you think Mike Meyers would put his economics degree to better use.
Email from Andrew Krakowski :
Hi,Jeremy Rosen responds:Do you guys (or a European counterpart) plan to release the 3 Inches of Blood Fire Up the Blades on vinyl?
Thanks!
Vinyl is an outmoded medium for music distribution so no, we wont' be releasing 3 Inches of Blood's Fire Up the Blades on vinyl. We'll be releasing it on mini-disc.

Email from Ron Mollinga :
Dear Roadrunner Records,Jeremy Rosen responds:
I have a suggestion for you in regard to a book you may want to read about our changing music industry. It is titled "The Future of Music - Manifesto for the Digital Music Revolution" by David Kusek and Gerd Leonhard.
It is an eye opener when it comes to the music industry and was written within the last year or so and therefore up to date. It basically states how musicians, label companies, retailers and managers are all going to have to change their ways due to this computer age. After all, one can download just about any song immediately after it has been released. Why do we need CDs then? When and how are musicians going to get paid? Who says what you write is copyrighted? These are just a few questions the book deals with.
The book also states why musicians aren't as successful as they should and can be. As I said, it's an eye-opener.
"Offers an enticing and provocative vision for the future of an industry in dire need of reinvention. Kusek and Leonhard paint a picture of tomorrow's music business that is at once dynamic, challenging, ever-changing, and unlimited in its potential." - Eric Beall, VP, Sony/ATV Music
Sincerely,
Ron Mollinga
Bass Player and Teacher
Dear Ron Mollinga,
Thanks for the tip Ron! As a music company Roadrunner has never considered the future possibilities of the industry, changing trends, or the view of its customers towards retail distribution of music. Thanks for opening our eyes!
I'm sure that you, as a bass player and teacher, probably haven't considered the salvation of your eternal soul. Well, boyo, I've got the book for you! It's called the Holy Bible and inside you'll find all sorts of interesting things. For instance, do you know what to do when you come across a Moabite? Well, the Holy Bible can tell you. Ever wondered how to save yourself from damnation and hellfire? The second half of the Holy Bible can help! Ever wanted to know how the French came up with their naming system for different sizes of wine bottles? It's all in the Holy Bible.
All the best,
Jeremy Rosen

Perhaps you can answer a question for me now: Why do you capitalize the first letter of every word? Is that some sort of 18th Century lexigraphical idiom you're trying to resurrect, or is your email really just an incredibly long title of some work?
