Gojira are one of my favorite metal bands. They mix many styles and always have a good message in their songs which relates to environment, spirituality etc. Topics not normally covered by metal bands. Beyond this they have developed a sound of their own which has influenced countless bands, and they come out of France, a place not generally known for metal.
