I met this guy when I was a senior in high school. He asked for my number after one of my basketball games and I gave it to him. A few months later I tore my ACL and he ended up finally calling me that night of the tear. He visited me and we eventually started dating. We dated for a year and a half with the usual fights and stuff but one day out of the blue he just decided to break up with me because he needed time to be with his friends. I was devistated because I thought we'd be together forever so when my mom asked me why I wasn't eating I told her and her first response was, "Oh my god, is he gay!?" That made me laugh and eventually I got over it. We started talking again and he begged me to come back so eventually I did but it was never the same. About a month after we got back together I met up with an old college buddy and we started hanging out...a LOT! My boyfriend didn't know about it and he bought me a ticket to an OSU football game and he said he'd pick me up in the morning to go. I ended up getting bored and going out with my college guy friend that night and so my boyfriend wouldn't know I turned off my phone. My friend had his on and my mom called to tell me that my boyfriend had been calling non-stop and demanding to know where I was and my mom didn't know what to tell him. So I turned on my phone and he called instantly and we got in a huge fight but we still went to the game the next day. I made up excuses to leave him and be able to call my guy friend and about 2 weeks after that game we went out on a second date. We hung out at a lake until 5:30 AM and got stuck in the mud and did some other things...but I ended up telling my friend that I was going to have to leave my boyfriend for him because he was better at everything. My boyfriend called that night to see if he could come over to talk things out and I had said yes but I texted him the next morning to tell him that he shouldn't come. He called bawling his eyes out and said, "if you have something to say just say it!" So I told him it was over and when we hung up I called my guy friend and told him he had a girlfriend and we've been dating for 2 years now.
It never would have lasted with that other guy because I found out afterward that he'd been cheating on me while he was away at college and we wanted two different lives. But it all worked out for me in the end. I now have a great guy and everything I could have ever asked for.

My relationship was not meant to be. He flirted with all my friends and didnt care for me. He pretended he loved me then decided to dump me by IM.

My last relationship was not meant to be mostly due to the fact that he was trying to control my life and life decisions. I was looking at a 5 year commitment type job and he freaked out since we wouldn’t be able to be close and he did not want to leave the good old state of Indiana. I am not from Indiana originally by the way. I am from Long Island New York and claimed residency in Jasper Indiana due to the fact that I am going to school in Evansville Indiana. Anyways, I ended that relationship fast when he tried to control my decision and now looking back I feel like one of the dumbest people ever. Things weren’t going right for awhile before this but I just kept looking past it and thinking that things would get better. Just little things about him would bother me….especially when he would not shave for a few days and my face would get irritated when we kissed, but there was no exception for me having a little bit of stubble on my legs after I shaved that morning and it grew back a little bit. I would totally understand if you could see my hair, but can’t see it unless I go days without shaving...which I don’t. Also, he would get pissed off if I wasn’t in the mood to have sex. There were a few times that I was really stressed out with school and family issues and just did not want to deal with him and he could not understand that and would basically go pout in the corner. He also told one of his friends, who is known for telling secrets, about this issue, so I have no idea who all knew about it at the time. He was also in a fraternity and his brothers gave him an end of the year award for dating a red headed slut for a little over a year. It was not funny at all and he just laughed at it and didn’t say anything to me about it. Overall I really have no idea why we started dating and continued dating for a year. When we broke up it seemed like he was trying to ask me to marry him too. I think that it was because a few of his friends just got married that past year or were planning to, but either way it was one of the most awkward situations ever.
