I may not be wearing a Collective Soul t-shirt, but I have all theyre albums (including the Atlantic Records albums and the El Music Group albums). I got most from garage sales and yard sales and Goodwill and such. But it shows that because I go THAT far just to get a CD, that I'm a big fan. My favourite album has to be Dosage because I LOVE the song "Run". Absolutely amazing. Thats all I guess.

My second CS show was @ CalExpo in Sacramento, California a week after seeing my first show at Konocti. My squeeze & I weren't living together yet so we each traveled two hours from different directions to meet in the middle at CalExpo. We got to watch the band doing there sound check pre-show. It was an awesome evening, the place was rockin'! And it was here that I realized what a following the Soul really has. We met people from all over. We continue to go see the Soul at as many venues as possible and it's always the best!

This is a picture of Ed sitting out in the audience singing at my very first Collective Soul concert in August of 2006 at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa in California. I was hooked from the get go. We've traveled to see 11 or 12 shows since then. We are the biggest CS fans! My daughter calls us CS junkies!!!

Collective Soul ---- "You speak my Language"
Let me start by saying that I am absolutey passionate about the music that I listen to. Born in the South, raised on Grits,fried Ocra,and black eyed peas on New Years for good luck.
Collective Soul you were a very important part of my Journey which began in the Summer of 92.
I was given some of the worst news a young happily married woman trying to get pregnant could possibly hear. The environment was clinical,cold,and sterile."Your tests have come back with abnormalities and indicate early markers of stage II ovarian cancer" The protocol was fast and furious, the feeling the failing as a wife and mother frutrating.Stupid boby. What's the matter with me. Surgery was immeadiate,chemo followed close behind.
To get through my painful treatments I would make mixed tapes to help me focus on the chemo working lik little pac-man attacking the weak cancer cells. Collective Soul quicly became one of my favorite selections and then became the only tapes that I would play. They lyrics inspiring, the beats driving,the collection passionate. Within 6 months I was told that the cancer had spread to my lymphnodes,liver and breast. More surgeries followed along with a diagnosis of stage IV Ovarian Cancer.
The only thing left for me to do was prepare for death and take care of my family financially. I volunteered for a clinical trial with the understanding that the hospital balance would be covered and my family would be free of any debt.
From 92 to 97 Collective Soul became my music for treatment used for visualization,pain management,inspiration on really down days. I was preparing to let go and had accepted my fate. I truley believe that the combination of modernmedicine,visualization,relaxation,native american culture,and of course Collective Soul's incredible passionate music saved my life. My will to live has given me benefits today that I cannot put into words. I have not shared this experience with just anyone,and do not belong to any other fan clubs as I of course it would be cool to meet some of my favorite musicians. But Collective Soul has and will always have a very special place in this SURVIVORS heart.
From this journey I have 2 beautiful Twins.
