i absolutely love this album! Dave Mustaine is a shiny golden god who's songs could tempt demon and angel alike, and although he has put out more albums than Metallica, he just keeps going and getting better and better at what he does.

Mustaine and Megadeth never fail to create powerful music that every metalhead can appreciate without reserve. United Abominations is a fantastic collection of songs from beginning to end, a true culmination of terrific solos and great melodies. It definitely takes a high seat up with classics like Rust in Peace and Peace Sells and never fails to give me an awesome rush whenever I listen to it. Thanks again Megadeth for proving you are the greatest thrashers in the world.

While there are large sections of talking as opposed to singing, the mood of what Mustaine is trying to achieve is captured perfectly. With insane riffs and solos found in songs such as "Washington is Next," "Sleepwalker," and "Burnt Ice" (the last one is especially remarkable for its energetic solos), Megadeth does not disappoint. While I am not an enormous fan of some intermediate-dated releases, this album stacks up with such greats as "Rust in Peace" and "Peace Sells." With jaw-dropping skill and inspiring political commentary, Megadeth truly puts the "thrash" in "thrash metal."

A good album but not great. Dave is less singing and more talking in this album. As you can expect the songs is quite short but have some killer riff and solos. But there are also some filler on this song that should be replaced by Black Swan. 3/5 from me.

Well, like I sayed in other reviews I'm a Megadeth Fan since I was 11 years old. And I always dream to meet Dave Mustaine, but one thing that I think, is really Dave Mustaine a good guy? or What the hell he thinks about my country?... I'm from Colombia and I think that here in this country we live a different reallity than the U.S.A but Dave always wrote songs like if he was my neighbord... I think that could talk with him can be an excellent expirience.

THRASH METAL TO THE CORE!!!

I can tell you 1000 stories about the making of this album but suffice to say, Mustaine is a true gentleman and the greatest artist I've ever worked with. And by "greatest" part of what I mean is that he is willing to step outside himself and really understand the goal of a record. With "United Abominations" the goal was to put Megadeth squarely front and center on the metal map and make the world understand that there still is no equal.
Songs like "Sleepwalker", "Washington Is Next", "Never Walk Alone" and "Gears of War" will all be in the Megadeth live arsenal for years to come.
General Mustaine came to do battle. Mission accomplished. Wait til you hear the next one!
