My favourite WT album! The was the first CD I ever brought by Within Temptation. From the meladonic orchestras to the piano ballads. Everything is perfect. My favourite tracks are Pale, Stand My Ground, Jillian (I'd Give My Heart) and Destroyed [demo]. All have amazing vocals where Sharon sings sweetly or belts out powerful notes. The lyrics on Pale are what make it sweeter and emotional. There's not a single track that I don't love from this album.

Overall 5/5+ for this album. An essential album for any fan of female fronted metal/rock bands.

Never rhought I'd find a band I like better than Nightwish until I heard Within Temptation's The Silent Force.
