14 live tracks are the meat of this album. 12 of these were recorded at Brixton Academy, London, December 8, 2001. That leaves "None But My Own" and "The Burning Red," both of which were performed at the With Full Force Festival, Leipzig, Germany, July 7, 2002.

Quite a few songs are played differently than on the record, so it gives the album a fresh feel.

Phil Demmel plays guitar on a couple of tracks, so it gives fans a small taste of the devestation to come with "Through the ashes of empires" and "the blackening!"
