ReLoad is what first turned me onto Metallica and that made me backtrack all the way to MOP RtL and all the classics.. If exploring is selling out, then they definitely did so (and still made great music along the way) instead of making a regurgitated version of the same album over and over (ala Megadeth). 'tallica perfected thrash and then moved on to perfect Prog metal, Hard Rock, ect... Metontour had a video of the performance they're talking about.. drool! there's also one with Lars w/the Sword for 'Freya'

Metallica didn't go commercial, they wrote what they wanted to and had the balls to do what they wanted to do dipshit. Do I like all the stuff off of the black album, load, and reload, no, they had some good ideas but they weren't what a thrash lover would call complete, but thats what they wanted to do. it was all a matter of time before they were selling the big numbers. hey fuckface, its the way the music scene goes. thats whats fucking sad but true
