DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara recently sat down with The Gauntlet to talk about the band's latest album Pray For Villains, the symbolism of the owl, starting a marijuana plant as well as a winery, and what's in store for the next album.

"We spread our wings a little bit on this one" says Dez when asked about the band's progression on Pray For Villains. "[We] tried to not only grow but just have some maturity in the music."

Fafara goes on to talk about touring incessantly for the past 8 years, saying, "there's not a band that does more shows a year than us, that's without a doubt."

And when it comes to marijuana, Dez Fafara is not a recreational user but a medical marijuana-advocate, who contests, "it could change the higher consciousness of the whole planet." And adds, "I love wine and I love good weed" when asked about his plans to produce the two.
