Blabbermouth reports that Mercyful Fate was presented with the "honor award" at the Danish Metal Awards 2006, which were held on Saturday, November 18 at Amager Bio in Copenhagen, Denmark. Original members Michael Denner (guitar), Hank Shermann (guitar), Timi "Grabber" Hansen (bass) and Kim Ruzz (drums) appeared in public together for the first time in 22 years to accept the award. Vocalist King Diamond was unable to attend the event due to the fact that he is currently working on a new King Diamond album in Dallas, Texas.
Visit your digital retailer of choice right now and you'll be able to replace those dusty vinyl albums or sticky CDs with 1983's groundbreaking debut Melissa, 1984's brilliant follow-up and swansong Don't Break the Oath, 1987's early recordings collection, The Beginning, and 1992's vault-clearing rarities set, Return of the Vampire.

As we all know Mercyful Fate's all time classic original 1983 Melissa Album release was rereleased as a 25th Anniversary Edition 2005 - CD + DVD. That was a great idea to actually have realised too.
However, my question to you all at 'Roadrunner Records' is this :
What about Mercyful Fate's other mind blowing classic epic 1984 release titled "Don't Break The Oath"... Don't we fans ever get to see this special 25th Anniversary Edition 2005 - CD + DVD Format come to life for this particular album in question ?... I'm sure, just like the 'Melissa' Re-release, that it surely would be a great dream realised no doubt!
As far as I know, this format version for the "Don't Break The Oath" Album has never been released... All we have available in records stores until now is the Remastered Edition 1997 - CD on RoadRunner Records, which also includes one extra track, titled 'Death Kiss'.
Yes, please do inform me otherwise as to whether any of you 'Mercyful Fate' die-hard freaks own the actual format version I'm looking for please.
It would be a shame not to also add a wonderfully packaged 25th Anniversary edition 2005 - CD + DVD of 'Don't Break The Oath' to my already purchased 'Melissa' 25th Anniversary edition 2005 - CD + DVD album in my collection.
In my opinion, and from a die-hard fans point of view, both these two above mentioned Mercyful Fate albums go hand in hand... because they are truly classic and timeless Metal Albums. Therefore, it would be a total shame to have one without the other...
