THE EYE OF A CLOWN: 'CONCEPT 16'
Here we are again, ready to examine one of Shawn Crahan’s photos to try to get inside the Slipknot percussionist’s cryptic brain. This week, Clown offers us — not a shot of a dead deer or an exploding object in flight — but an abstract still life of sorts that he took to help him determine the direction for the cover art of the 2004 album Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses.

i hope you don't take offense to this clown, your not my favorite. i love slipknot, my favorites are mick, jim, and joey. but i do love your pictures. they are very intense. usually i just read what everyone else has to say, but i wanted to let you know, although i am sure you have heard it plenty of times already,anyway keep posting your pics they truly are awesome!!!! you guys are great. i brought my 15 year old, to his first concert, to see you guys at the tsongas arena in massachusetts. he is now a die hard slipknot fan. he has been learning to play a few of your songs on his guitar. thanks for the great show!!!
