THE MOMENT YOU MAGGOTS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
Slipknot released its fourth album, All Hope is Gone, on Roadrunner Records today, August 26, 2008. The album was recorded in Slipknot's home state and is co-produced by the band and Dave Fortman.

"The nine" spent their summer laying waste to arenas in North America as they headlined the first annual Rock Star Energy Mayhem Festival. As Slipknot's first tour in three years, maggots all around the globe tore shit up while getting the first taste, with songs from the album such as the single "Psychosocial" and the title track, All Hope Is Gone.

The album promises to blend elements of 2004's Vol 3: (The Subliminal Verses) and 2001's Iowa, while adding a perspective, freshness and depth that only three years apart can bring. The first single "Psychosocial" will be delivered to radio on June 30 and will be available digitally on July 1.

All I'm saying is that if your going to label the genre of music you play as "metal"... then don't put about 4 or 5 songs on your album that you could play over a country station.... a lot of those songs are soft and to me that is not metal...

Why are people complaining that The cd sounds like stone sour, if Wait & Bleed came out on this Album, everyone would compare it to stone sour. Slipknot is Slipknot, and they kick major ass.

honestly, who in the fuck cares if they sound like stone sour ot if they sound like slipknot? I did not know that the fans depicted HOW SLIPKNOT should sound, I thought they gave it to us and we say either, damn thats good, or fuck that. People are getting off the point that Slipknot is back. Corey & Jim both play in slipknot and stone sour. the 2 bands will sound alike here and there. SLIPKNOT, THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER KILLER FUCKING CD.
