I knew Dommin had excellent lyrics along with their crystaline harmonies and phenomenal musicianship, but it is a great pleasure to me to read an interview with an artist that is not laden with "Ya know?"s or other signs of either being bored out of their mind (while discussing their alledged passion) or an obvious desire to be capering down the street after someone they find attractive rather than wasting time with some 40-somthing writer from some magazine. Kristofer Dommin is a very welcome change to the troublesome number of young musicians over the last few years who've make it clear during their interviews that they'd rather be getting a root canal than discussing their music (I've read a LOT of interviews in that category in the last quarter of a century, and they never cease to damage, if not kill, my interest in a band and its music. Hey, if you consider discussing your music to be a big waste of YOUR time, why waste MY time listening to you?). His enthusiasm is as contagious as his enthralling music. I'm grateful the "I can only really SPEAK through my MUSIC, man" phase is either ending or has ended. Mr. Dommin is a fascinating man and I hope he will be gracing our ears with his great musical gifts for many years to come, and that he never succumbs to "Interview-itis", quickly scheduling a root canal to avoid an interview. The man, and band, have some serious chops!
