the crusade didnt suck. it was awesome. just coz it wasnt typical trivium, doesnt make it a bad album. just listen to it as a general metal album, not a trivium album, if u like. its amazing. much better than ascendancy and ember....and shogun has elements of all the albums, so all trivium fans should love it. i think the two new songs already own all their other stuff. i really cant wait!!

I liked the Crusade but i don't really like Metallica.. is there something wrong with that picture? I don't compare Trivium to Metallica by the way.. i just read ATR's comment, hahaa

And.. how did Death Metal get into that? haha to me its all just metal. either good metal or bad. and these dudes are fucking good.

I hope they go back to the Ascendancy sound too. Although i didnt despise The Crusade, it was shit compared to their previous 2 albums. but im getting worried. When they were touring with Crusade, they played more songs from ascendency...I looked at their Japanese set-list and it looks like they playing a little bit too much from the Crusade and not enough from Ember or Ascendency...

After the crusade I would categorize them as a Metallica tribute band. I truly hope that this album goes back to the sound of Ascendancy. Their last album sucked balls.

For me Trivium is a thrash metal with some melodeath elements.
But for 100% is not a metalcore as a lot of people say, Trivium dont't have any of hardcore elements. Listen to If Hope Dies, I Killed the Prom Queen, Still Remains or Atreyu, this bands are similar to Trivium? NOT!
