Ahhh, and now it is time once again to hit you up with "LESSONS FROM THE SILVER SIDE - pt IV", a look at what is going on with Nickelback and their latest release Silver Side Up. First, where to see Nickelback. Outside of their current tour here in the US, you will be able to catch Nickelback hosting MTV2's ROCK SHOW tonight (10/10), Thursday (10/11), and Friday (10/12). If you have the means (i.e. have MTV2), check it out - show starts at 9:00pm each night. Also, will you be home this coming Friday night (10/12)? If yes, we must first call you a nerd (and we mean that in the nicest possible way...just kidding). Actually, if yes, be sure to check out Nickelback performing on The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn. This is nationally televised, so even your grandma would have the means to watch. and now, onto the facts: Random Fact #10 - the footage you will see of Nickelback hosting MTV2's ROCK SHOW was actually shot at BB King's Restaurant on 42nd St here in NYC. Did you know that if you have Time Warner cable here in NYC you cannot get MTV2? Doesn't make much sense, especially with MTV2 being based in NYC. Good job Time Warner, good job... Random Fact #11 - last week Nickelback's "How You Remind Me" broke the record for most total spins (plays) in a given week at the Modern Rock format. In laymen terms, that means it was played a lot on the radio. The previous record was set in 1997 by Sugar Ray with a track called "Fly". Why are we telling you this??? Odds are this will come up in a future contest... Random Fact #12 - and our last fact for the day, ring, ring...a week ago to the day (10/03) Nickelback did an in store performance and autograph signing at a Tower Records in Austin. Well, whilst signing autographs, the phone in the store rang and Nickelback's singer Chad picked up the phone. "Tower Records", he answered. On the other line was some chick calling with the purpose of asking if Nickelback was still there...small world, ya? OK, so not as juicy a fact as strip clubs in Las Vegas, but a fact nonetheless. Until next time, the has been a Lesson From The Silver Side... new release Silver Side Up in stores now
