As of yesterday (07/01) at the Ambassador in London, Machine Head is officially on European tour. Next stop, the Highbury Garage in London...errr, ummmm, actually that stop happens to be for a band called Ten Ton Hammer. Ever hear of them? Our girl Kirsten in the Roadrunner UK office will be at the Highbury show in London. Being that it is technically a Ten Ton Hammer show, she says, "expect the unexpected." When further questioned as to what the hell that is supposed to mean, she replied with a snarl, "I don't know, your guess is as good as mine." Thanks for nothin', Kirsten... BUT, she does inform us that if you do like Machine Head and want to hit up the show, you're gonna have to beg, borrow, do whatever for tickets...as this beast is sold out. Thanks for somthin'. In other Machine Head news, filling in on guitar for the spot open since Ahrue's departure is Phil Demmel. Phil comes to Machine Head from a band called Technocracy, and according to Robert Flynn, "is just helping us out for the tour." Machine Head has no plans set to seek a permanent replacement just yet. Did You Know? Pt. I At the last 10 Ton Hammer show, apparently only Motley Crue songs were played. Did You Know? Pt. II Phil Demmel used to play guitar in a band with Mr. Flynn back before the days of Machine Head. That band, Vio-lence. for a full compliment of European Machine Head tour dates, check our TOUR section
