im hoping the new album will be much like Images and Words, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence or Octavarium.

I hope they come up with the definite Dream Theater classic album, really open-minded, with no pre-conceived direction, with the perfect balance between metal, prog and melodic WITHIN EACH SONG, and not a metal song, a lengthy proggy song, a cheesy song, etc, i.e. something like the Octavarium concept meets the Images & Words power, the Six Degrees experimentation, the Metropolis pt2 lyrism... encapsuled in each and every song. Maybe that's too much asking, but no one else could do something like that. Anyway, I can't wait for the new album, whatever it sounds like!

I've kinda noticed something...on songs/albums where DT is making music for themselves, I think are their best songs. Sometimes you kinda get the feel that they are making music that the fans like and want to hear, and those aren't usually their strongest. What the fans really want is DT to stop emulating others and be themsleves, if we want something else we'll listen to that instead^^ but i can't fucking wait for this new album to come out...we fucking love you dream theater!

I'm really looking foward to hearing the new stuff!!
