Dont anyone knock dave because he may be a 'lil bit outta words how many bands have released 22 great albums? not very many and i mean good albums not shit albums like most of shitalica's. Dave has written so many songs and i dont care if he all of a sudden has a lack for words we still have all his other master peices, not saying the new album isn't going to be a master piece the new album is gonna thrash un-like any other album by Megadeth
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK ANY OF THE NEW BANDS OR OLDER GREAT BANDS ,THEY ALL SAY MEGADETH AND BAG ON MESHITICA. THEY ARE DONE HOPE THEY SPLIT THE BAND UP AND GIVE IT UP. STOP BUYING THIER SHITTY CDS PLEASE THEY WILL GO AWAY. KEEP SUPPORTING DAVE HE'LL BE HERE ALONG TIME TO COME. YOU SHRED I'M A RATTELHEAD
To the motherfucker who said "The System Has Failed" was disappointing: EAT SHIT AND MAGGOTS !!!!!! Vinnie Colaiuta rips your ass inside - out !!! MUSTAINE LOCO
URUGUAY NOMA PA TODO EL MUNDO !!
I like the sound of the new track it's a rust-ish sounding track. We all know Dave can burn and if anyone has ever heard any of Chris's old stuff knows he can too, so a lack of soloing is not an issue fo me. All in all if the rest of the dick is half as good I'll buy that one too.
i thinks head crushers ok but for me its a bit of a let down
i want to hear the megadeth style that beats you up not the tickle your ears style i heard there
but still it was a good piece of metal
I would like to say that this is an amazing track. Love the vintage sound, the great guitar solos, all arrangements. It's a short track full of surprises. All the band has a good performance and I guess this is just the beginning of a great album. I just love it!
I Hate saying this because they're my favorite bands but their first single is nothing special. It reminds me of "sleepwalker" but lacking depth. Dave seems struggling for lyrics but how much can you write about now-a-days anyway. Sometimes the best songs don't even make it on the album as with 2001's TWNAH and "kill the king". One can hope the CD will be much better. UA was their best CD in years. TSHF was a big disappointment and TWNAH was better than risk so in a trend of every-other-album being pretty damn good, who knows what to expect but "headcrusher" is a bit disappointing. Anything is better than "risk" though as long as it's not St. Anger {or St. Awful to anyone with 2 good ears} why complain. I at least pray the new album has no more covers of previously done songs with newer artists doing duets. UA made my summer and well... 2008 was an amazing year for music from shinedown to theory of a deadman to def leppard to filter, G 'N R and Metallica and 2009 has released nothing special so far so fingers crossed that this album delivers the hype that i have read about it so far. WhAt i'd give for another youthanasia, countdown, or peace sells. Well i hope when the warmth of summer ends, Megadeth's new CD still keeps the heat coming on strong. I hope there's at least 11 other solid songs {and they don't keep up the trend of leaving the best songs on japanese imports!} and it's worth the wait! Headcrusher is a thorn in one's side but it can only get better from here! Much love to the metal community! -Steve
I gotta agree with you, man. I wanted to like this song... but it's just not doing it for me. Most of the music is kick-ass except the 'head crusher' chorus bits. The whole thing feels like they're trying too hard. Megadeth have NOTHING to prove... they are the soundtrack to the apocalypse! The lyrics/subject matter on this tune, however, seem a bit juvenile compared to the vast majority of Megadeth tunes. Dave typically writes great, sarcastic, bitter and stinging lyrics that are at the same time witty and insightful. So... I'll expect that there's nowhere to go but UP from this single. It's better than anything his old bandmates have put out for the past 20 years, including 'Douche Magnetic.'
the song sounds great.i want it to be better than UA.dave sounds amazing on vocals.wish the solo was more complex and longer with better structure but the song is great.totally blew me away...SURE to bring death to death magnetic
