Doug Stanhope has announced the dates for his upcoming U.S. tour. He is also scheduled to perform at the Litla-Hraun maximum security prison in Iceland on September 25, which was announced last month.  Stanhope just completed a 25-date residency in London’s Leicester Square, earning rave reviews and selling out shows. The UK’s Metro lauded Stanhope with five stars, saying, “Searing, relevant and brilliantly funny, there’s good reason why Stanhope is often cited as one of the greatest comedians on the planet…If fearless stand-up is your bag, you’d be a fool to miss him.”

Most recently Stanhope was featured in Louis C.K.’s FX show Louie in season 2, episode 9 entitled “Eddie,” where he garnered overwhelming praise. Read the New York Magazine review here.
