Pianist/arranger Eren Başbuğ, a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, wrote and recorded orchestral arrangements for Dream Theater's new, self-titled studio album, as well as their recent Live at Luna Park package. In the video above, he discusses how he came to work with Dream Theater, other bands whose songs he's created orchestral arrangements of (are you paying attention, Steven Wilson and Mikael Åkerfeldt?), and more. Başbuğ will be working with Dream Theater next at their March 25 Boston concert, at which they'll be joined by a choir and orchestra made up of Berklee students. In the video below, you can watch him conduct the orchestral arrangement of "False Awakening Suite," the first track from Dream Theater.
