Slipknot's yet to be titled upcoming LP is currently slated for a June release. The recording for this piece has been completed. The mix of the album is going on right now. Not much more info to tell? Tis just the calm before the storm. Here are some words to give you until the storm hits - Producer Ross Robinson is describing this upcoming Slipknot LP as "super, super, super perfect and extreme and kick-ass". What else? Ross tells "It is so full-on. Corey sang for a month straight, every single day, and we kept the best, most destroying syllables of his singing." Even bodily harm to Ross during the recording turned out to be a blessing in disguise. As Ross tells, "I fractured my spine doing motorcross during the first couple of weeks of the record. I was producing it (the Slipknot record) on Vicodin and I was showing up to the studio with extreme pain and when I got to the studio, the body would fall away and I was totally up all night for those guys. It was a really, really good thing for the record. Nobody was allowed to hold back because I was in that condition." More to come...
