As you know, Spineshank will be hitting the Ozzfest 2001 tour a couple weeks earlier than originally scheduled...accordingly, their current headline tour will be cut short. The latest news on the Spineshank/Chimaira/Ill Nino tour as of this morning is the following - * Due to circumstances out of thier contol, Spineshank will NOT be performing on the June 26th show in San Diego. The rest of the bands will play as scheduled. * Spineshank will be dropping off their own headline run (with Chimaira and Ill Nino) on June 30th, which was originally to be Spineshank's first day on Ozzfest. * Though originally slated to joing Ozzfest on June 30th, Spineshank will now be joining the Ozzfest on July 3rd (in Schertz, TX). * Chimaira will be taking over the headline spot thereafter for the following dates on July 1st thru July 3rd, playing with Ill Nino and No One: July 1 in Chico at Brickworks ( tix price most likely dropping to $5 from $12) July 2 in San Fran at the Pound (Warped afterparty) July 3 in Portland at the Pine Street Balcony * The rest of the original dates, July 5th thru July 12th, will be canceled. Apologies for any inconvenience...we know the bands are probably just as disappointed as anyone. Well, enough of that! Onward and Upward, cheers to the last 1 1/2 weeks remaining on this tour as crazy as possible. Speaking of which, we hear that a riot almost erupted during the show last night at The Rock in Tucson, AZ! As Chimaira vocalist Mark Hunter said today (06/25), the crowds at all shows have been great, "but the kids in Tucson last night were awesome!" If anyone was at the show last night and knows what he is talking about, email us. To clear any confusion on who is playing on what dates, do your own search on our TOUR section.
