While in Oshawa, Canada just last week, the area's local news site DurhamRegion.com was on hand to witness the stellar performance.
In an article cheekily titled "Big Serving of Meat Loaf in Oshawa," the site explains, "Meatloaf is a plain food, a dinner staple that sometimes provokes groans for its utter banality. Meat Loaf the singer is anything but commonplace. Love him or hate him, call him schlocky, even cheesey, but there’s no one like him.
"Blessed with a powerful, operatic voice, he’s carved a unique niche for himself in the world of rock ‘n’ roll. And he didn’t disappoint at the General Motors Centre Tuesday night, delivering what his fans wanted and have come to expect from him: raw, theatrical, over-the-top rock ‘n’ roll.
"As he took the stage for a second encore, Meat was clearly pleased at the warm reception he’d received in Oshawa. 'Hey, what can I say, you guys rock,' he said to applause before launching into The Beatles’ Why Don’t We Do It in the Road? He rocked, too."
