The still crushing debut (and only) studio album by Nailbomb, Point Blank, turns 20 this weekend—it was originally released March 9, 1994. Nailbomb was a collaboration between Sepultura's Max Cavalera and Alex Newport of the criminally underappreciated Fudge Tunnel, with guest appearances from Max's brother Igor, Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser and Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares. Following the release of Point Blank, they made exactly one live appearance, at the 1995 Dynamo Festival in Eindhoven, Holland, where Max, Alex and Igor were joined by keyboardist Rhys Fulber, bassist Dave Edwardson, and guitarist Richie Bujinowski, as well as several guests: Scoot of Doom and Biohazard's Evan Seinfeld played bass on a song or two each, as did drummers Barry Schneider and the Dead Kennedys' D.H. Peligro.
In celebration of this all too brief moment of extreme metal madness, we're making Nailbomb's entire Dynamo performance (immortalized on the Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide CD, and a DVD) our Classic Video Of The Week! Enjoy!
