As told yesterday (2.18), Killswitch Engage is confirmed to play on this year's Ozzfest. What else should you know? Some random facts (including how to get $10 tickets) and tour dates listed below: - Ozzfest started in 1996, making this its 8th annual showing. Did You Know? At least one Roadrunner band has appeared on Ozzfest each year since inception. True. In 1997, FIVE Roadrunner acts were on the bill. Roadrunner acts having played on prior Ozzfests include Type O Negative, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Ill Nino, Spineshank, and Coal Chamber. - Dirt poor? Something new this year on Ozzfest: Ozzfest 2003 is offering a limited number of lawn seats at each show for $10. The special priced ten dollar tickets are available only at venue box offices or other designated locations while they last. Check your local listings and venue websites for purchase information. (ticket sales start in March) - No Black Sabbath on the bill this year. Instead, Ozzy will be heading his own band. Ozzy's support cast this year will be Zakk Wylde on guitar, Robert Trujillo on bass, and Michael Bordin on drums. - Word has it The Village of The Damned concourse has been re-vamped to offer Ozzfest-goers the best in entertainment with all state-of-the-art video games, and apparently some new surprises in addition to piercing booths and world-class tattoo artists. - Tour Dates (all subject to change) and on-sale dates to be announced by week's end.
