As known, Chimaira is currently huddled up at Third Stone Studios recording their Roadrunner debut. This all started March 27th and figures to last until April 26th. The band is working on a six day work week (Monday thru Saturday), 12 hours a day (from 11 to 11). This is the latest word from the band - All drums are complete. Bass and guitar have been completed for 7 songs thus far, those tracks being "Let Go", "Options", "Jade", "Severed", "Taste My...", "Dead Inside", and the seventh track which is untitled as of yet (and without lyrics as of yet too). Chimaira is planning on recording 16 or 17 tracks in total, three of which will probably end up being b-sides (ahhh, most commonly used on the European single releases, but of course). Mark Hunter informs us that vocals on the project may start as early as today (04/05). However, that is dependant on mood..."gotta be pissed off," tells Mark. How do you get to that point? They have a couple ideas brewing...we'll see what formulates... ..if I can make a suggestion, 6 straight months of cold ass weather whilst living in New York might just do the trick! Lord knows I could eat lightning and crap thunder right about now...
