The Misfits stormed New York City's Time Square yesterday (06/28) blasting a set of classic tunes at the Virgin Megastore in honor of the band's 25th Anniversary. Joining mainghoul Jerry Only were some old fiends: Robo, the 'fits "Earth A.D." era drummer who also served in Black Flag as well as former Black Flag throat and 2nd axeman, Dez Cadena. They kicked in with old Misfits classics: "Hybrid Moments", "Attitude" and "Last Caress" before Jerry shifted the microphone over to Dez to bark his way through Black Flag faves, "Rise Above" and "Six Pack". Not to downplay this moment in hororpunk glory, former Ramone, Marky, then ascended the drumkit to bash out some Ramones classics including "Beat On the Brat" and "I Wanna Be Sedated". Ending the set with an obligatory romp through "Monster Mash", it was clear the first 25 years of Terror were just the beginining..... In other Misfits happenings, we just posted some new pics of them...well, fairly new...the pics were taken during their show on March 24th, 2001 at the Masquerade in Tampa Bay, FL.
