"Satan Spawn, The Caco-Daemon"..."In Hell I Burn"..."Bastard Of Christ"..."Blame It On God"..."This Is Hell We're In"..."Bible Basher"... Do them song titles ring a bell? Well, if you have ANY sort of thoughts or delusions that you are a real metal fan (or just really dig Satan), they sure as hell should. The above are simply a few randomly picked track names from The Best Of Deicide album that hit the streets two weeks ago. And for the second week in a row, the album that still reigns supreme as the highest selling from The Best Of... series. Neil, our former Controller here at Roadrunner Records, would be proud. Neil, if you are reading this...and surely you are...you aren't the only one currently digging on this new Deicide release. The second on this list? The Best Of King Diamond (the King, let it be known, is currently atop the Two From The Vault series). But, you guys already know about King Diamond...at least you should. In fact, if you don't, go back to school and study Latin like a real man. But, we digress...let's turn our focus towards Life Of Agony, the band King Diamond beat out this week by a mere 3 units. Straight outta Brooklyn. Life Of Agony. The band referred to as "the ultimate mosh pit band" by the man that started the Roadrunner NY office (in reference to their time changes...a mosher's wet dream). A couple lines from Scott Ian (Anthrax, the man who wrote the liner notes for this band's Best Of... comp), go like this: "If you're reading this, then you're in the know. You're part of the in-crowd, you know the secret handshake - you're a member of the inner circle, the sanctum sanctorum, etc. etc. "What the hell am I talking about?" Yeah, what the hell is he talking about? Actually, we know...and ain't it about time you found out too? check out www.roadrunnerrecords.com/roots for more on all the albums from the Two From The Vault and The Best Of... series
