Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour recently appeared on the Kevin & Bean Show on L.A.'s KROQ radio station, with Foo Fighters mainman Dave Grohl, to discuss his participation in Grohl's new documentary Sound City and the studio that is the film's subject. Slipknot recorded Iowa there, and many other legendary rock albums were made there too - when the studio closed, Grohl bought its board, and began interviewing musicians who'd recorded at Sound City.
Says Corey, "The thing about that Neve board is that it has such a personality. No two albums sound the same coming out of that board because of the different love that you put into it, the different variables.”
