Roadrunner A&R Rep Paul Conroy has been busy over the past couple weeks taking care of two of Roadrunner's new acts - Five Pointe O (recording in El Paso, TX) and Sinch (recording in Nashville, TN). So, what's the deal? Five Pointe O - word is that all vocals were completed yesterday and the mixing of their debut commences today (10/12). Daniel (vocals) and Sharon (guitar) are staying in El Paso for the mixing whilst the rest of the band made the trip back to hometown Chicago. Paul was in Texas last week to check out the final recording touches. Eleven songs were recorded in total. Eleven songs which Paul describes as "brutally heavy". Oh, and one more description from Paul, this one being about where they recorded and are mixing the album - "The studio is incredible. It's like a god damn resort! The back end of the studio borders up against the Rio Grande" Mixing will be headed by the same cat who recorded the effort, Colin Richardson. Sinch - Currently Paul is in Nashville at the Groove Room for the mixing of Sinch's debut. In his company is the band and the man heading the mix sessions, Charlie 'the Rocco' Brocco. As this is being written (10/12 at 3:28pm EST), they are working on the mix for "The Silent Acquiescence Of Millions", which apparently is sounding head and shoulders more killer than the previous version going around. Seven songs have been mixed in total thus far, and all should be completely finished come Monday (10/15). Speaking of Monday, Godspeed to Paul and the band - all of whom will be driving from Nashville back to the Philly/New York area. Paul, who previously made the trip via air before driving this time, tells "I thought it was a good idea at the time, before I actually made the 13 hour drive." However, we are sure that listening to the sweet sounds of the new Sinch music will make the trip go a bit quicker. bottom line - all is turning out amazing. this has been a reading from The Book Of Paul...
