As reported on yesterday, Trivium are indeed set to enter the studio to record their follow up to 2008's Shogun this Fall. The band will begin recording at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida this October with famed producer Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Bullet For My Valentine, Fear Factory, Slipknot) manning the boards alongside Martin "Ginge" Ford.

Having worked on new material since finishing their Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour run, Trivium have been offering some pre-production updates on their official site, including some cool photos and regular video updates. In an interview with Metal Mutilation nn radio station WMHB, which can be found below, guitarist Corey Beaulieu discusses the direction they're going in on this album, and what the addition of new drummer Nick Augusto has brought to the band. Check back for more from Trivium as they get ready to record their 4th studio album coming soon.
