In what is to become a regular feature here on the Roadrunner site, much like the Updates From The Studio (fueled by the Production Gospel According To Dave), we present to you Updates From The Art World, fueled by information supplied to us from Roadrunner's creative services director - Sean. Until Sean is dubbed an appropriate name on this site, he will be referred to as Sean 'I have yet to earn a nickname' Art Guy. Some pieces of interest that Sean 'I have yet to earn a nickname' Art Guy is working on this week include the following: 36 Crazyfists - the packaging for their debut release, Bitterness The Star, is currently being worked on. In the words of Sean, it will be "very Alaska-esque." What does that mean? Once again he repeats, "very Alaska-esque." He also tells that within the next couple days we will be receiving some great photos from their photoshoot here in NYC last month. Keep an eye out... Deicide - the packaging for their upcoming release titled In Torment In Hell is fully complete. You can check out the cover on their ARTIST page. As Marketing Matt tells, "if you look closely you will notice Jesus Christ getting his throat sliced by demons on the cover...and this is tame version of the Deicide cover, so you can only imagine what the original one was like. Merely speaking of it makes me fear I will suffer eternal damnation." Machine Head - though the packaging for the upcoming Supercharger LP is not complete, the cover has been approved. You can check it out on Machine Head's ARTIST page. Sean does tell that the rest of the package is proceeding nicely, and should be completed sometime next week - "if we keep on schedule, yes." THAT, is the word of Sean Slipknot - the IOWA packaging is complete and is currently being printed. Speaking of packaging, let's talk about the packaging for the vinyl IOWA release - "Just saw the packaging for the vinyl...it looks amazing...keep your eyes open for it, there just may be something special inside," Marketing Matt tells, and warns. Also keep your eye out for a couple new Slipknot photos which will hit the site here later this week. That's all Sean had to offer up for today. Until next week's Art World Update...
