Some studio updates from three of the newest acts in the Roadrunner world: 36 Crazyfists - their debut release, Bitterness The Star, is currently being mixed. Remember those two test mixes the band received which we wrote about a couple weeks ago? Well, both parties were happy with them, and word is they have been accepted. The man who writes the Production Gospel here, Dave, tells "(it) sounds great, the shit really sounds good..." No absolute completion date for the mixing of this LP has been given. Dislocated Styles - their debut release, Pin The Tail On The Honkey, which came out here in the US on April 24th, will be released in Europe come October 1st. It will contain 2 bonus tracks not found on the US release - "Stress" and "Utopia". Before the release of the full length hits Europe, a commercial single for "Fire In The Hole" will hit the streets on September 17th, also in Europe only. This release will feature the video for "Fire In The Hole", plus two bonus tracks - "Sourdough Flow" and "Flower". All four bonus tracks mentioned above are taken from Dislo's 1998 self released Elevator Music...which coincidentally played a big part in Roadrunner's signing of Dislocated Styles. Five Pointe O - yes, it has been a while since we spoke of this band here on the site, but now we have some news to pass on...Five Pointe O will start the recording of their yet to be titled debut on September 2nd. Recording will take place in El Paso at Sonic Studios, which is conveniently located on a 1700 acre stretch of land. Colin Richardson, who most recently mixed Machine Head's Supercharger, will be the producer and mixer for this effort. Pre-production on this project will start a couple weeks prior in the band's hometown of Chicago. This is The Production Gospel According to Dave...Phase II is upon us...you have been warned...resistance is futile...
