Some notes of interest from the studio this week: Coal Chamber - in the words of Dez Fafara, "the album is done"...in the words of our man Dave, Coal Chamber is "fully finished recording". It's true! The recording of Coal Chamber's upcoming Dark Days release is complete. Mixing is to start Monday (09/24) at NRG Studios in California. Producer Ross Hogarth will be heading the mixes, and Dez tells that himself, Mike, and Meegs will be popping in the studio daily to check out what is going on. Mixing is slated to take 17 days, six day work weeks, Sunday's being off... Fear Factory - just a line to tell you that the making of the Fear Factory DVD is coming along "really well". Expect it to be out in stores come mid-December. (Road Rage Tour starts tomorrow - 09/19) Five Pointe O - the band is currently ass deep recording their Roadrunner debut, down in Texas. More detailed info to come later this week, but Dave tells it's "coming along very nicely". Ill Nino - update from the studio you ask??? Yep, no real update, this is just a line to remind you that their debut Revolution...Revolucion IS IN STORES NOW. Get yur ass out there now! (Road Rage Tour starts tomorrow - 09/19) Sinch - again, another band ass deep in the recording of their Roadrunner debut. Both their manager and A&R Rep here are apparently flipping out over what they are hearing. Word is they should be finished come 10/03, including the mix. More detail to come later this week after we speak with the band. SOULFLY - YES, finally, a SOULFLY update! Word is Max will be heading into the studio on Thursday (09/20) to start some preliminary stuff on his own (i.e. some more writing and a little recording). Word is also that this time around Max may take a crack at producing the upcoming Soulfly album himself. We'll keep ya updated... This is The Production Gospel According to Dave...Phase II is upon us...you have been warned...resistance is futile...
