some notes of interest from the studio this week: 36 Crazyfists - as written previously in UPDATES FROM THE STUDIO, the mixing of 36 CF's debut Bitterness The Star is not fully complete. The band will starting a trek to the East Coast come 11/27 for three shows during the first week of December (see TOUR section for details). While in New York, they will be heading back to the scene of the crime where they recorded, Scrap 60, to be present for the final mixing of the release. This figures to start shortly after their December 5th show in NYC, and last around a week. Dislocated Styles - Somewhere in the great state of Arizona, Dislo is writing demos for their next record. Word is we should be hearing something as soon as next week... Fear Factory - on the front of their debut dvd release, Digital Connectivity, all is being taken care of with utmost detail, enthusiasm, and profession. Word is we are looking to have the finished master in house sometime next week. Killswitch Engage - They are in MA in the studio and word is things are going well. If you have yet to do so, check out studio pics and the exact word on where the recording stands in yesterday's news, "WHAT WE DID WITH ROADRUNNER"S MONEY - Pt I", in particular. Recording should be fully completed by year's end. Mixing currently planned to start sometime in February 2002. interesting fact - the mixing of Killswitch Engage's debut will actually be done on the other side of the Atlantic, in Nottingham, England to be exact. Why? Andy Sneap will be mixing the effort and that is where he holds shop. It's true. This is The Production Gospel According to Dave...Phase II is upon us...you have been warned...resistance is futile... note - more updates from Dave to come before the week's end, news on Sinch, Soulfly, and Spineshank...
