A few points of interest from the studio this week: Chimaira - currently getting set up to do their follow up to Pass Out Of Existence: writing, rehearsing, lookin' for a producer. Word is the band has somewhere between 8-10 bare bone tracks in the works (i.e. no lyrics, samples...). Speaking of samples, but 2 days left for bidding on Chris' Roland SP-808, the same piece Chris used whilst on tour with Slayer (yes, the ultimate band does exist). True. Click HERE for details. Oh, and speaking of Slayer, Chris tells, "going to the ultimate concert tonight - Slayer, Soulfly." Enjoy. Dirty Americans - The Workhorse Movement recincarnated, only 100 times more rock. They will be recording this fall. "That's a definate," enthuses the man behind The Production Gospel According To Dave. Double Drive - finishing up the final mixes right now, and then getting ready to master. "Coming along nicely," tells the man behind The Production Gospel According To Dave...and we must note, we think Dave has a new favorite band, it has something to do with the boys from dD seeing some show in South Jersey when they were in town a couple weeks back...details will NOT follow. goneblind - will be in the studio this fall. Until then, know that a goneblind EP will be released next month (09/24, to be exact): Five songs that gb came to Roadrunner with...only thing we had to do with them was the mastering. Ill Nino - writing songs on the road. They actually have a bit of a mobile studio on the bus right now. True. We'll be looking to get them into the studio come early 2003. Nickelback - the upcoming Live At Home dvd is done...well, as done as it can be without the band having approved it. True. This is The Production Gospel According to Dave...Phase II is upon us...you have been warned...resistance is futile...
