Young the Giant continue their series of "In the Open" performance clips with this version of "Typhoon," recorded live and acoustic under a bridge in their home state of California. As frontman Sameer Gadhia writes on their website, "'Typhoon' was filmed in Dana Point, CA under a bridge that serves as the eternal doorway to the downward sloping path to the ocean. At this beach, everyone must walk underneath it in order to get back home or into the waves. Under this bridge, there is a vast blue mural of sea turtles, kelp and anemone. It is some sort of stone. Acoustic brilliance. We figured it would be the best setting for the dynamics of 'Typhoon.' In the night, we struggle to see. We use glow sticks to light the bridge. Many walked past. Some left, and others listened."
