Hi! Its me!

Finally my Consultant said I could return to my Studio Apartment! So happy and I know things will work out! I am also the Maureen Angel; or Grace Maureen- Just taken a break from everything and planning a holiday to the states very soon! I miss my friends there!

The Far away song is also very special to me because of my American Hubby, and the video rememebering when some memories return.

The lyrics for this song, together with the musicianship, defines the word beautiful. I know it's difficult to do because this band is so blessed tight and in sync with each other, but try especially to listen to the bass line and the drums here. Also, pay attention to the use of the cesura (dramatic pauses) that add definition and interest. Here Chad is singing a love song, but his brother is accompanying him with a lullabye on bass. Ooh, and the intermittant use of the double on the bass drum is stunning. This song is so rich and full of musical texture. One night I was walking down the sidewalk in San Diego while listening to this song on my Sony CD player and saw a husband and wife hugging their very small child between them. If only they could have heard what I was listening to. It so described the moment and, in a time of strife for me, gave me hope.

This song gives me hope that one day someone will love me with that deep emotion! Chad the emotion in your eyes brings tears to my eyes!!!

It's me again.I have several friends who come from a long line of firemen and women in the Pa. area,and this song reminds me of them. They lost one of their brothers about a year and a half ago,in a 4 alarm fire,in a home,while trying to put the blaze out that was already out of control. Two of the brothers were in the upstairs of the home,and only one came out alive,when the other brother died,saving his brother.
This was a great loss for them and myself. That brother,Richard,was a great friend,and was there for me at a time when I thought my whole world was crashing down around me,and I was on the phone with him when he got the call,at the station,to go to that house. His last words to me were,"If I make it out of there alive,I will talk to you soon.Later,about a week,one of his sisters showed up at my 3d club that Rich had been helping me to build and decorate,and told me what had happened. We formed a very strong bond from that tragedy,and are still friends today. This song represents so much of what not only the firemen and women go through in their efforts to save lives and homes,but what it is for the people in their lives,waiting at home for them. Very strong emotions. You guys captured that so beautifully and powerfully.Thank you
