There are two guitars in this group, and this is the most challenging part for me--although I'm getting pretty good at my "air guitar." But noticing when Chad goes cesura on the guitar and concentrates on the lead vocal while the second guitar takes over; when they both come in together, and then they go their separate ways. I don't know about you guys, but I'm musically having some fun now. I'm not referring to "Someday" so much here(although it's right up there with my favorite songs and videos), but "Burn it to the Ground." Nickelback just keeps getting better.
Oh, and to the woman who commented that Chad should give her his private cell phone number somewhere on the site as she would be attending a concert soon and could send him pictures from her cell to his: sweetie pie, these guys can now afford the best engineers in the business from sound to videography--not to mention producers. Good grief. In their "Live at Sturgis" DVD, they actually had helocopters handling some of the videography. I don't think your cell phone would produce the quality they are looking for. I mean to say this as kindly as possible, but I would not be holding my breath on that one. Nice try though. I've already got Chad's cell number; but if the foreplay is going to be endless, I may just take up with some other musician. I'm fickle that way.

Correction: I meant vocalists and musicians. Tee, hee, I blog myself. » Add Comment » Close Comments » Report Abuse09.27.2009 Maggie Ringland wrote...

Also note that as she is driving away and adjusting her rearview mirror, and he is running after her in the street, he does not appear in the mirror. There is probably other foreshadowing I'm missing as well. This was the first video of theirs I ever saw. And yes, ladies, he's tall, rangy, come-alive gorgeous and all that (I privately wrote to him that physically he is an Adonis); but that is not the thing that is the most compelling or attractive to me about him and the rest of those handsome devils. They are all extremely accomplished musicians who assiduously studied and worked at their craft. And as a lyricist as he grew in his art, Chad became one of the best writers around in modern day. Mutt doesn't work with amateurs. » Add Comment » Close Comments » Report AbusePosted by: Maggie Ringland | 09.21.2009
The only other thing I noticed here is after he is chasing after her in the car, he then in wearing a leather jacket. Still trying to keep us guessing until the last second, I suppose. » Add Comment » Close Comments » Report Abuse09.05.2009 sam marshall wrote...

Mr. Marshall, you've got some great points there; but I believe you missed the entire instruction of this song. Now, if you are addressing their entire body of work so far, that would be more like it. However, I see that the purpose of this song is not about lost love at all. Try watching the video again and pay special attention to the folded newspaper at the beginning (foreshadowing) and the reference to it again at the end after her body is killed in that accident and just prior to that when the two of them hug as she emerges from the accident. Mr. Kroeger is, indeed, a teacher. Not in every single song; some are just good times, some are about sex ("nothing wrong with it"), Mutt Lange helped him with that great drinking song on "Dark Horse." Mutt is a legend in the business. Enough said. » Add Comment » Close Comments » Report AbusePosted by: Maggie Ringland | 09.07.2009
Fret not, Sam, my friend, I missed a lot of things in this video myself. But I put on my glasses and took a Q-tip to my ears and saw that this video is not about getting rid of anything--especially love. » Add Comment » Close Comments » Report Abuse05.02.2009 Misty Blue Kasan wrote...
